All Love Stories Don’t End in Happily Ever-Afters

Do you believe in love stories in real life? I thought people fall in love in movies only. What does Mitty care! When you are in love what do you care about the defects in your lover! Mitty doesn’t care too. But did your elder brother or father ever tell you that the guy is not right for you? Mitty still doesn’t care! She thinks her loving humans love her Perfect Tom Cat. But let me remind you, all love stories don’t end in happily ever-afters. Most parents don’t approve of their daughter’s boyfriend. How could Mitty’s human owners approve of her Perfect Tom who was so imperfect?

To human eyes, Mitty’s love was a horrible looking cat. It would eat all Mitty’s food and would soil the stairs. The neighbours had started complaining that it was Mitty who was committing nuisances all around. So, Mitty’s humans had no choice. For Mitty’s sake, they put the stray tom cat in a bag and carried it across the canal opposite their house and dumped the bag in someone’s garden. The bag carrying the cat fell with a thump in the dark garden. That cat was never seen again. Mitty never fell in love again. Slowly she forgot about him; perhaps not. No one knows.
