It's Raining Again

It's raining! ... That was a misnomer. It was pouring! ... Still not close I guess. Well, it was actually tearing apart, whirling, and groaning and threatening to end the world ...almost like a terrorist! ...I was stitting comfortably inside the taxi, the driver driving as slow as possible. Drenched to the skin, drenched to the heart, I sat listening to FM radio songs ... "Rim jhim gire saawan" ..."haathi jaisi chaal, ghore jaisi dum, o saawan raaja, kahan se aye tum, tak dhum dhum!" ..."kosa hai kosa hai barish ka bosa hai" ...and so on it went. The meteriological department had predicted thundershowers in the afternoon. It came a bit late. Most probably it came down at 6 after sundown. I left office at 18:25, forgot that the chartered bus service is off till 13th, the election day, braved the wind and the rain to reach Monginis for shelter, and then remembered that the bus is not coming. A fruitful day at work can sometimes result in memory loss. Confirmed the same with my "bus-friend"; she was already crossing Ruby.

It's cool now. There's no memory of the heat in my mind. My cat is happy too :-)
